Privacy policy

This explains what we collect about you, why we need it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers Abhinav Tyagi , trading as TyD Bureau.
What we collect
When you enrol:
- your name, phone number and email address;
- your college or employer, and year of study, where relevant;
- your LeetCode profile URL;
- your batch preference and preferred language of instruction.
While you are studying with us:
- attendance records;
- homework submissions, and the record of what your LeetCode profile showed when we checked it;
- code you write in our practice and assessment tools;
- practice results — typing speed and accuracy, drill scores, recall performance, and assessment marks.
During a live class your instructor opens, what you type in our code editor is shown on their screen as you type it, so they can follow your work and leave you notes. It goes straight to their screen and is not recorded. Outside a class nothing is shared, and whenever it is, the editor says so above your code.
Fees are paid either through Cashfree, our payment gateway, or by UPI or bank transfer directly to us. Either way we never see or store card numbers, UPI PINs, or your banking login. Card details are entered on Cashfree’s own page, not ours, and they hold them; what reaches us is the amount, the date, whether it succeeded, and their reference for it. A direct transfer shows us what any transfer shows the person receiving it: the name on the paying account, the amount, the date and the reference. We keep either so we can match a payment to an enrolment and issue a receipt.
Where a parent or someone else pays on your behalf, their name and the reference reach us the same way, and we keep them for the same reason.
Why we collect it
- To teach you. Attendance, homework and practice data exist so we can see who is falling behind and intervene early. This is the substance of what you have paid for.
- To administer your enrolment. Contact details, payment status and portal access.
- To contact you about your batch, including reminders about missing homework, usually over WhatsApp or phone.
- To meet our legal obligations, including keeping financial records.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your data, to anyone, for any purpose.
- We do not share it with recruiters or employers. We do not offer placement services and have no reason to pass on your details.
- We do not use it to advertise to you on other platforms.
If we ever want to use your results or words in our marketing, we will ask you first, separately, and a refusal costs you nothing.
Who else sees it
Only our instructors and the service providers we need to operate: our server and storage providers, and our messaging provider for reminders. They may only use it to provide those services to us. Because fees are paid directly to us rather than through a gateway, no payment processor holds your data on our behalf.
Where it is stored, and for how long
Your data is stored on servers we control, with backups held in encrypted form. Some of this infrastructure is located outside India.
We keep your learning records for three years after your batch ends, so that we can confirm your participation if you ask us to. Financial records are kept for as long as the law requires. After that, records are deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under Indian data protection law you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything inaccurate;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- withdraw consent you previously gave.
Write to hello@tydbureau.com and we will respond within 30 days. Deleting data we need to run your enrolment may mean we cannot continue to teach you, and we will say so before acting.
Cookies and analytics
Our portal sets a cookie to keep you logged in and one to protect forms against cross-site request forgery. Both are necessary for the site to work. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
To know how many people find these pages, we count visits using Umami, which we run ourselves on our own server. It sets no cookies and does not follow you to other websites. It records the page you looked at, the site or search that sent you, your browser and device type, and an approximate city worked out from your network address — the address itself is not stored. There is no profile, and nothing that identifies you personally.
It runs on the whole site, including the student portal once you are signed in. What it tells us there is which screens are used and which are not — whether anybody opens the curriculum, how much of the portal is read on a phone — so that we can improve it. We do not pass it your name, your email address or any other identifier, so what it records cannot be tied back to you, and it is not used to judge your progress: your work is recorded properly against your enrolment, and that is what your marks are worked out from.
Children
The programme is intended for college students and working adults. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to your enrolment.
Changes
If we change this policy materially, we will tell enrolled students directly rather than relying on you to notice the date above.
